A Texas native, Dr. Schroder traveled the United States with his Air Force family before settling down in San Antonio. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and received his undergraduate degree from St. Mary's University where he played collegiate basketball. He continued his education at the University of Texas Dental School at San Antonio, graduating in 1982. Following dental school, Dr. Schroder completed a General Practice Residency at the Audie Murphy Veterans Administration Hospital where he received advanced training in anesthesia, endodontics, oral surgery, periodontics and prosthodontics. When his formal education was completed, Dr Schroder was appointed Assistant Professor in the Postdoctoral General Practice Program at the UT Dental School in San Antonio where he taught for 12 years while developing his private practice. Now 26 years established, his office provides comprehensive restorative care, including conscious sedation, aesthetics, dental implants and treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea. He is active in study clubs and restorative academies, staying abreast of advances in dentistry. Dr. Schroder and his staff are continually advancing their skills and each is experienced, compassionate and thorough. In February 2008 Dr Schroder was elected into membership in the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry. The Academy is a very prestigious organization dedicated to the advancement of the art and science of dentistry and is made up of some of the finest dentists in the world. Its membership is limited to 165 active members worldwide. Election is bestowed on those dentists whose contributions to dentistry are recognized as exemplary. His daughter Adrienne is a graduate of TCU and is a sales representative with Ultradent Corporation in Ft. Worth. Brandon graduated from Texas A&M and is a CPA with Ernst and Young in Dallas. Clayton is in his third year of study in Construction Science at Texas A&M. Away from dentistry, Dr. Schroder and Evelyn enjoy the Lone Madrone, a small piece of heaven in the Texas Hill Country. He spends his time there making furniture from the native walnut and cherry trees that cover the property. He also breeds Scimitar Horned Oryx for game ranches in Texas. The freedom and satisfaction gained from making this small piece of Texas better by being a good steward of the land is a treasured privilege.
