Loraine Taylor 
Loraine has been with Dr. Schroder since 1989 and is loved by everyone who knows her. She is our Office Manager and extremely knowledgeable in the dental field. She is a great asset to our practice. Prior to her coming on board with us she worked for Southwestern Bell for 13 years, doing a terrific job in a supervising role as well as in internal auditing and budgeting positions.
Loraine is a San Antonio native, graduating from Providence High School and St. Mary's University with a BBA in Personnel Management. Some of her interests away from work include horticulture, homemaking activities, and spending time with her beautiful family. Loraine and her husband Tom have been married over 31 years and have three fabulous kids. Julia, 26, is a graduate of Texas A&M University and employed at UTHSCSA in a DNA lab; Ryan, 24, is in his third year at Southwestern Medical School, and Stephanie, 22, is a graduate of St. Edward's University currently studying for her GRE.
Loraine has started her 20th year in our office and says, "Dr. Schroder and our team treat you like family. That is the most any patient could ask for. His excellent care comes from his perfected dental techniques as well as his most ethical character. In addition he uses the highest quality materials and laboratories to give you the best possible result. We are an efficient, friendly, and fun staff who make you feel at home!"

Leticia “Letty” Martinez
Letty has been a Dental Assistant with Dr. Schroder for over ten years and for most of that time has been the sole assistant for the practice. Letty does an outstanding job, and is always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone and everyone when she has a free moment.
Letty is a San Antonio native and is a graduate of Harlandale High School. She received her certification in Dental Assisting from San Antonio College of Medical and Dental Assistants and is a Registered Dental Assistant. Before joining our team, Letty had a varied work background including banking and retail careers.
Some of her interests include designing and making cakes, dancing (all kinds), and Boy Scout activities. Letty is married to her junior high school sweetheart, Victor, and together they have two precious children, Victor III, 12, who loves being a Boy Scout, and daughter Yazmine, 8, who enjoys Hip Hop dance and the Girl Scouts.
Letty is a real go-getter and extremely dedicated to her profession. Letty's motto is to work hard and do her best in order to "make our patents feel better". We are thrilled she is part of our group!
Amelia Marie
Amelia has been a staff member of our office for over three years. She comes to us with many years experience in the dental field as a Dental Assistant. She has worked in General Dentistry as well as in Endodontics. Amelia is certified and registered in Dental Assisting and enhances her skills with continuing education. Dentistry is a passion for Amelia and she wants to explore and learn as much as possible. Recently Amelia has taken on the position of being Dr. Schroder's Sleep Dentistry Coordinator.
Amelia is a San Antonio native and is blessed with four beautiful children, Luis, Annalissia, Airiel and Lucas. When Amelia is not attending continuing education courses in her free time, she loves to shop, travel, watch movies and relax with friends.
As our practice grew so did the need for a second Dental Assistant. Amelia is the perfect choice. Even though she is tiny in stature, she is an absolute dynamo. Amelia says "Dr. Schroder is a joy to work with and I love the everyday challenges". We are so pleased she has become a part of our team!
Maida Taft
Maida joined our team as a Dental Hygienist in September of 2006, but is definitely not a newcomer to the dental field. She has 20 years experience in dentistry, working in only 3 other practices in San Antonio. When asked about working with Dr. Schroder, Maida's response was, "Dr. Schroder is an awesome dentist and only wants the best for his patients!"
A native of Kingsville, Texas, Maida attended Texas A & I University. She completed her Dental Hygiene education at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi and then relocated to the San Antonio area. When Maida is not working she enjoys photography, travel, spending time with her boys, attending Spurs games and other sporting events.
Maida & Eric have been happily married now for 17 years. They have two sons, Andrew, 22, who is a student at Northwest Vista and Myles, 5, who is in Kindergarten at Canyon Ridge Elementary. And we must not leave out Wyatt their 2-year old Jack Russell!
Maida's calm and gentle personality and excellent clinical skills have been a wonderful addition to our practice!
Avni Bhatt
Avni just recently came on board as a seven-year veteran in dental hygiene. Originally from India, she has lived in many different places. After receiving her BS in Biology from UTSA in 1999, Avni received her AAS in Dental Hygiene from Columbus State Community College in 2001. Avni and her husband Nav settled in San Antonio in 2004. Together they have a wonderful 2-year old son, Aarav who is very grateful to have his grandparents and uncle live in the same city with him!
Apart from Dental Hygiene, Avni recently co-authored her first publication in a textbook earlier this year and was a Research Assistant at Ohio State University and UTHSCSA.
Outside the world of dentistry, her interests include traveling, exercising, shopping, reading and, once in a blue moon, cooking; and of course, spending time with Aarav!
When asked her thoughts about working with Dr. Schroder: "Everyone here in the office strives to make our patients' dental visits more pleasant. We try to keep it organized in order to provide the best care they deserve!"
Christy Boykin
Christy, our Northern California front desk administrator has brought plenty of sunshine to our office. Christy joined our team this year after moving here in July 2007 from Sacramento, California. She has 18 years of dental office experience. Christy was a chair side dental assistant for 12 years then moved to front office managing for the last 6 years.
Christy attended high school in Auburn, California and college in Sacramento. She and her husband Chuck have been married for 17 years and have two very athletic young men. Devin is in 7th grade and Drake is in 2nd grade. Both are presently playing football.
Outside of work and her boys' activities, Christy spends her time wakeboarding, boating, cooking and gardening.
Christy says she "enjoys working with this great team where each of us strives to deliver the best care possible! The standard of care here is very high."
We are pleased that Christy has joined our practice!
Evelyn Schroder
Evelyn is our Operations Manager and has been with Dr. Schroder's practice for over 19 years. Her main focus is accounting and overall attention to detail. She is a vital reason for the growth and success of our office.
Evelyn is a graduate of Providence High School. She spent two years at St. Mary's University and received her certification in Dental Hygiene from The University of Texas Health Science Center. She married her high school sweetheart (Dr. Schroder) in 1980 after he had completed two years of Dental School. After five years in the clinical practice of Dental Hygiene, she "retired" to raise three awesome kids. Adrienne is 24, a graduate of Texas Christian University and is currently employed at a marketing firm in Fort Worth. Their son Brandon, 22, is a graduate student at Texas A&M University receiving his bachelor's degree in Accounting and his Masters in Finance. Clayton, 20, is a sophomore at Texas A&M University in the Mays Business School.
Evelyn is one busy lady! Aside from work, she enjoys spending time in the country with her husband, visiting the kids wherever they may be, going to Spurs games and the theater, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
At any given moment, Evelyn will tell you she has the best job in the world! "I am truly blessed to be able to work with the man I have been married to for 28 years. Our goal is the same…to provide the best possible dental care for our patients, and to make all of our patients feel welcome and cared for just as we would in our own home."
