Loraine Taylor
Loraine has been with Dr. Schroder since 1989 and is loved by everyone who knows her. She is our Office Manager and extremely knowledgeable in the dental field. She is a great asset to our practice. Prior to her coming on board with us she worked for Southwestern Bell for 13 years, doing a terrific job in a supervising role as well as in internal auditing and budgeting positions.
Loraine, a San Antonio native, attended Providence High School and graduated from St. Mary's University with a BBA in Personnel Management. Some of her interests away from the office include horticulture and homemaking but most of all spending time with her wonderful family. Loraine and her husband Tom have been married over 33 years and have three fabulous children. Julia, a graduate of Texas A&M University, is employed by UTHSCSA. Ryan, a graduate of UT Southwestern Medical School, is in a residency program in Philadelphia. Stephanie, a graduate of St. Edward's University, is married and is continuing her education in Physical Therapy in Austin.
We are so fortunate to have Loraine as part of our family. She has been with us for over 22 years and says, "Dr. Schroder and our team treat you like family. Leticia “Letty” Martinez
Letty has been a Dental Assistant with Dr. Schroder for over thirteen years and for most of that time has been the sole assistant for the practice. Letty does an outstanding job, and is always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone and everyone when she has a free moment.
Letty is a San Antonio native and is a graduate of Harlandale High School. She received her certification in Dental Assisting from San Antonio College of Medical and Dental Assistants and is a Registered Dental Assistant. Before joining our team, Letty had a varied work background including banking and retail careers.
Some of her interests include baking, dancing (all kinds), and Boy Scout activities. Letty is married to her junior high school sweetheart, Victor, and together they have two wonderful children. Victor III, 15, loves being a Boy Scout and playing tennis and has become quite accomplished in Art.Their daughter Yazmine, 11, enjoys Hip Hop dance and the Girl Scouts.
Letty is a real go-getter and extremely dedicated to her profession. Letty's motto is to work hard and do her best in order to "make our patients feel better". We are thrilled she is part of our group!
Maida Taft
Maida joined our team as a Dental Hygienist in September of 2006, but is definitely not a newcomer to the dental field. She has 23 years of experience in dentistry, working in only 3 other practices in San Antonio. When asked about working with Dr. Schroder, Maida's response was, "Dr. Schroder is an awesome dentist and only wants the best for his patients!"
A native of Kingsville, Texas, Maida attended Texas A & I University. She completed her Dental Hygiene education at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi and then relocated to the San Antonio area. When Maida is not working she enjoys spending time with her family, sports, travel and photography.
Maida & Eric have been happily married now for 20 years. They have two sons, Andrew, 25, who is a student at San Antonio College and Myles, 8, who is in first grade at Canyon Ridge Elementary. And we must not leave out Wyatt their 5-year old Jack Russell!
Maida's calm and gentle personality and excellent clinical skills have been a wonderful addition to our practice!
Christy Boykin
Christy, our Northern California front desk administrator has brought plenty of sunshine to our office. Christy joined our team 3 years ago after moving here in July 2007 from Sacramento, California. She has 19 years of dental office experience. Christy was a chair side dental assistant for 12 years then moved to front office managing for the last 7 years.
Christy attended high school in Auburn, California and college in Sacramento. She and her husband Chuck have been married for 19 years and have two very athletic young men. Devin is a 9th grader, wrestling for Reagan High School. Drake is in 4th grade and playing football with the Junior Rattlers.
Outside of work and her boys' activities, Christy spends her time wakeboarding, boating, cooking and gardening.
Christy says she "enjoys working with this great team where each of us strives to deliver the best care possible! The standard of care here is very high."
We are pleased that Christy has joined our practice!
Kristi Heistand
Kristi was born and raised in Brownwood, TX, along with her two sisters! After graduating from high school Kristi worked as a dental assistant for four years while attending Abilene Christian University and later received her dental hygiene degree from Blinn College in 2003. After practicing dental hygiene in other dental practices, Kristi joined our team in January of 2010.
Kristi and her husband Mark have been married for 10 years and have a beautiful 3 year old daughter named Aubrey and are expecting a second child this summer! Her favorite pass time, of course is spending time with her family and friends. Kristi loves being outdoors, especially at the lake or by the pool. Her indoor favorites are scrapbooking and watching movies.
Kristi's favorite thing about working with Dr. Schroder is "his enthusiasm to improve himself, his staff and his office to provide the best care for his patients".
Amanda Cross
Amanda, one of our newest team members, came on board as a 2001 graduate in Dental Hygiene. A small town girl from Yoakum, TX, Amanda received her degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
Amanda and her husband Lonnie were married in 1999 and have two wonderful children, Cade 6 years old and Mia 3 years old. The family has loved living in the hill country for the past four years with an added bonus of having the kids' grandparents living next door to them!
Amanda's favorite pass time is going to movies, shopping, running and scrapbooking!
When asked her thoughts about working with Dr. Schroder, Amanda's words were: "Starting in January of 2010 with Dr. Schroder was such an awesome transition for me, trying to fit my career and motherhood into my life. I feel at home when I walk through the doors and hope to have a long career with Dr. Schroder."
Evelyn Schroder
Evelyn is our Operations Manager and has been with Dr. Schroder's practice for over 22 years. Her main focus is accounting and overall attention to detail. She is a vital reason for the growth and success of our office.
Evelyn is a graduate of Providence High School. She attended St. Mary's University for two years and then received her certification in Dental Hygiene from The University of Texas Health Science Center. She married her high school sweetheart (Dr. Schroder) in 1980 after he had completed two years of Dental School. After five years in the clinical practice of Dental Hygiene, she "retired" to raise three awesome kids. Adrienne 26, is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a degree in marketing and is currently employed in Fort Worth. Their son Brandon, 24, is a graduate of Texas A&M University . He received his bachelor's degree in Accounting and his Masters in Finance and is employed with an accounting firm in Dallas. Clayton, 22, is a senior at Texas A&M University and will be graduating with an undergraduate degree in Contstruction Science August 2011! Whoop! Adrienne and Brandon BOTH "tied the knot" in 2010!
Evelyn is one busy lady! Aside from work, she enjoys spending time in the country with her husband, visiting the kids wherever they may be, going to Spurs games and the theater, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
At any given moment, Evelyn will tell you she has the best job in the world! "I am truly blessed to be able to work with the man I have been married to for 31 years. Our goal is the same…to provide the best possible dental care for our patients, and to make all of our patients feel welcome and cared for just as we would in our own home."
